The Letter:
Dear Mr. Krygier,
On behalf of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) of Michigan, I would like to congratulate Save Our Shoreline (SOS) on being selected as the recipient of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) Conservation Award.
The NSDAR is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. You can learn more about the NSDAR and its work at https://www.dar.org. The NSDAR Conservation Award recognizes outstanding individuals or organizations that have demonstrated sustained efforts to improve the environment or educate the public on conservation issues.
Your organization was nominated for this national honor by the Anne Frisby Fitzhugh-Saginaw Chapter, NSDAR, in recognition of your commitment to preserving and protecting Michigan’s shorelines through education, advocacy, and environmental stewardship.
We are delighted to share that the DAR of Michigan will be hosting its annual state conference in Bay City this September, which provides the perfect opportunity to present this prestigious award. We would be honored to have you join us on Friday, September 12, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bay City during the State Regent Dinner at 6:00 p.m., where the award will be formally presented. You are invited as our guest for the evening, and you are more than welcome to share brief remarks of up to two minutes after you receive the award.
To confirm your attendance, please get in touch with Shannon Larson (cc’d here) no later than August 19 by email or by phone at 231-425-8750. She will be happy to assist with your reservation details.
Again, congratulations to you and Save Our Shoreline on this well-deserved recognition. We look forward to celebrating your remarkable contributions to conservation.
Warm regards,
Dawn M. Brady
State Regent
